The FlashCanon

Today is Riley’s first birthday! The big 01! The past year has been nothing short of wonderful and I’m looking forward to what each year has to bring in the future. It’s such an awesome thing to see him experience new sights, sounds, objects and generally everything around him. He loves to smile and laugh and makes everyone around him follow right along. As far as moving around, he can crawl just about as fast as the wind (and even faster if he sees something he wants to get his little hands on). He’s pulling himself up to a stand and seems to be very very close to taking those first steps. I’m not sure how we’ll be able to keep up once he starts walking and running.

I believe that both Sarah and I learned very quickly that it’s true what people say about feeling something so strong for a child. Something that you’ve never quite felt before and that you just can’t put to words no matter how hard you might try. What a great experience this has been and will continue to be over the years. I can’t wait to see what he thinks of things like the beach and the ocean, or the mountains, or the zoo, or the aquarium, or the… well, you get the idea.
